The Diary of Lillian Ackerly, Chapter 1 Pt. 1
It wasn’t a bad day, all things considered. Sure, I am dragging a body deep into the woods and my house is on fire, but I’m sure I’ll laugh about it in the morning. Well, alright, it isn’t my house. It’s my parent’s house. Or, it was. That’s a technicality though. I can see a small gap of moonlight faithfully pointing my way to the copse of trees I am trudging toward. The seasons are just starting to turn from fall to winter, and for that I’m thankful. No flies or mosquitoes to assault a sweat and blood-covered girl dragging a corpse through their home.
Upon reaching my destination, I ran my po
